From The Manchester Courier and Lancashire General Advertiser of 15 December 1860: "DEATHS On the 6th inst., in his 66th year, Mr. JOSEPH CRIMES, of Frances-street, Strangeways."
Joseph's Grant of Administration reads "18 March Letters of Administration of the Personal Estate and effects of Joseph CRIMES late of 16 Frances Street Strangeways in the City of Manchester Book-keeper deceased who died 6 December 1860 at Frances Street aforesaid were granted at Manchester to Sarah Crimes of 16 Frances Street aforesaid Widow the Relict of the said Deceased she having been first sworn. Effects under £450".
