John's record of administration reads: "CHRIMES John 15 March [1858] Letters of Adminstration of the Personal Estate and effects of John Chrimes late of Little Leigh in the County of Chester Farmer a Widower deceased who died 27 June 1857 at Little Leigh aforesaid were granted at Chester under the usual Limitations to John Edgerley of Norton in the Parish of Runcorn in the said County Farmer the Grandfather and Guardian of Ellen Chrimes Spinster Elizabeth Chrimes Spinster and William Chrimes minors and John Chrimes an Infant the only children of the said Deceased he having been first sworn. Effects under £600". John appears in the Index to Death Duty Registers for 1858. The death date and burial date are inconsistent but must nevertheless refer to this John |
