Nellie was admitted to Boughton British Mixed School, Chester on 1 April 1908. Previous school "B. Cl. Infants" Nellie was admitted to Cherry Grove Schools, Chester on 11 July 1910. She left that school on 3 March 1911 "Distance". Nellie was admitted to Guilden Sutton Church Of England Primary School on 24 March 1911 with her brothers Frank and Harry. She left that school on 11 March 1914 "Exempt". CheshireBMD gives the location of the 1923 marriage as "Chester, Civil Marriage or Registrar Attended" but may indicate a non-conformist ceremony.
