In the 1921 England Census Annie was named 'A'. From The Cheshire Observer of 12 May 1956: "MRS. H. CRIMES We regret to record the death, which occurred on Tuesday, of Mrs. Annie Crimes, widow of Mr. H. Crimes, of Tarvin-road, Chester. Mrs. Crimes had been living with a daughter at Dodleston for the last few years. She was a member of a well known family, and her husband was a member of the old Board of Guardians. One of her sons was a proprietor of a cycle business in Boughton and she was the aunt of Mr. Claude Crimes, of Lache-lane, a former Alderman of the Chester City Council. The funeral takes place this (Saturday) afternoon at Dodleston." |
