Robert's baptism record and his marriage record give his name as CRIMES, but the baptism records of his children are in the name CHRIMES, as is his own burial record. Robert was a stonemason both in Weaverham and in Samlesbury, Lancashire. Robert left a will dated 28 January 1769 which I presume to be the date of proving: "Mason", "Samlesbury". |
