Thomas's marriage record gives Thomas's residence as Weaverham.
Unfortunately there were 4 Thomas's born in Weaverham parish in the period 1753 - 1762, but I have now established that of the two Thomas's born 1759 Weaverham, one married Martha HEYES in 1783 and the other died 1760. Also Thomas bap.1753 died 1757 and Thomas b.1762 married Mary BURGESS in abt.1790, so I accept that Thomas's born Weaverham can be ruled out of the 1779 marriage to Sarah PICKERING. This leaves the way open for Thomas to be baptised 1 October 1750 Frodsham, son of Robert CHRIMES b.1715 and Mary TURNER, as proposed by other researchers.
From The Chester Courant of 25 September 1804: "CHESHIRE - GAME DUTY - An Alphabetical List of the GAME CERTIFICATES granted ... Chrimes, Thomas, Gorstage, in the Lordship of Weaverham, gent ..."
