From The Burnley Express of 7 January 1939: "SUCCESSES IN L.C.M. EXAMINATIONS At the recent examinations held in connection with the London College of Music, the following Burnley candidates obtained the required number of marks:- PIANOFORTE PLAYING - Associate (A.L.C.M.): ... Elementary Honours ... B▮▮▮▮▮▮ Crimes ..." B▮▮▮▮▮▮ embarked on "Empress of England" at Liverpool on 22 August 1958, bound for Quebec and Montreal. The passenger list gives "Country of intended future permanent residence" as Canada. She travelled alone. B▮▮▮▮▮▮ appears in directories for the town of Hamilton, Ontario between 1959 and 1966, apparently living alone. B▮▮▮▮▮▮ was a teacher at Mount Gardens Public School in Hamilton. B▮▮▮▮▮▮ took a holiday to Australia in 1965, the Australian 'Incoming Passenger Card' confirming many of the facts already known, including date of birth, country of birth, occupation, marital status ('Never Married'), country of permanent residence ('Canada') and showing that the length of her holiday in Australia would be 12 days, and that she would be staying at 12 Wattle Avenue, MacQuarrie Fields, NSW. The card has B▮▮▮▮▮▮'s signature. I cannot find any records for B▮▮▮▮▮▮ beyond 1966. |
