From the Find-a-Grave record: "EAST LIVERPOOL - Mary E. Howell, 79, of Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road, died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2006, at East Liverpool City Hospital. Born in Waynesville, N.C., Feb. 26, 1927, daughter of the late Thelma Smart Wilson, she lived most of her life in this area. She was co-owner and operator of the former HAP Associates Ltd. Office Supply. She also had worked at Dwyco Office Products and Al-Ken Office Products. Her husband, William G. Howell, whom she married Oct. 14, 1944, died Dec. 31, 1990. Two daughters, P▮▮▮▮▮ Y. Hoppel of East Liverpool, and L▮▮▮▮ S. Howell of Jacksonville, Fla., survive. Lester "Buss" Green of Calcutta, her companion of 12 years, also survives. There are two grandchildren, Tina M. Rigby and her husband, James, of Wellsville, and Richard G. Cable and his wife, April, of East Liverpool. Three great-grandchildren, Nathan Rigby, Rachelle Cable and Nicole Cable, also survive. Friends may call Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Rev. Dr. H. Gene Toot, pastor emeritus of Trinity Presbyterian Church, will conduct services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park."
