| Ellen M's obituary (extract) reads: "Mrs. Ellen Marie Whitehead, 80, Muscle Shoals, passed away Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, after a brief illness. Mrs. Whitehead was born and raised in Rogersville. She was a homemaker and loved to travel. Through the years, she and her husband had visited each of the 48 contiguous states. She was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ and was preceded in death in 1988 by her granddaughter, Kelley Whitehead.The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Highland Park Church of Christ, with Jack Wilhelm and Steven Guy officiating. The casket will lie in state from noon until 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Elkins Funeral Home today from 6 until 9 p.m. Elkins Funeral home is assisting the family. Mrs. Whitehead is survived by her husband of 60 years, Almon Whitehead; a son and daughter-in-law, B... and N...
