Alternative date of birth (gravestone): 21 June 1893. In the 1940 US Federal Census Angeline A was still single, living as "Partner" with a female head of household. In the 1950 US Census Angeline A was 'Lodger' at the same address. From Find-a-Grave: "From The Clarion-Ledger (Jackson, Mississippi) of Monday 4 March 1968: Miss Angeline Crymes. Funeral services for Miss Angeline Crymes, 75, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday from the Chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph N. Tripplet, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Miss Crymes died unexpectedly early Sunday morning. She was a native of Brooksville, a former longtime resident of Helena, Ark., but had made her home in Jackson for the past year. She was a retired school teacher and was a Methodist. Survivors include one brother, John Lee Crymes of Jackson, and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Hootman of Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. Carey Phillips of West Monroe, La." |
