From the Find-a-Grave record: "From The Clarion-Ledger (Jackson, Mississippi) of Thursday 6 June 1963: Crymes Funeral Scheduled Today. Funeral services for James E (Jimmy) Crymes, 61, well known retired Jackson tire salesman and resident of 1810 Devine street, will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. from Wright and Ferguson Chapel, with Rev. D.T. Ridgway officiating, assisted by Dr. Robert E. Bergmark. He suffered an apparent heart attack Tuesday afternoon while returning from a fishing trip, and was rushed to the Baptist Hospital where was was pronounced dead on arrival. He was a native of Brooksville and had lived in Jackson since 1924. Mr. Crymes was a member of Galloway Memorial Methodist Church. His survivors are his wife, the former Sadie Ainsworth of Star; one daughter, Mrs. John Stone, and a grandson, John Henry Stone, both of New York; a brother, John L. Crymes of Jackson; one sister, Mrs. [sic] Angeline Crymes of Helena, Ark.; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Cary [sic] Phillips of West Monroe, La., Mrs. James A. Hootman of Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Edwin Watson of Hampton, Va. Interment will be in Wesleyanna Cemetery at Star. ..." |
