From the newspaper notice of his sister Mary Dent's 1923 marriage: "Miss Crymes' brother Mr. Henry Minor Crymes will arrive tonight from Memphis for the wedding. Mr. Crymes graduated last night from the Memphis University Law School, although not yet 20 years of age." From the newspaper report of his 1932 marriage: "The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P Crymes who also are members of fine old Mississippi families who moved to Hattiesburg from Macon, Miss., many years ago and is a grandson of the late Dr. Henry A Minor of Macon, for whom he is named. He received his earlier education at Hattiesburg thereafter graduated from Memphis University school and Memphis Law school and later completed his local education at the University of Virginia. He is a member of Delta Theta Ph? a legal fraternity and is engaged in the practice of law at Memphis, Tenn., being associated with the firm of Stirkney and Fitzhugh." From the Hattiesburg American of Wednesday 21 October 1959: "Services for Henry Minor Crymes who died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon following a heart attack at his home in Memphis, were held there Tuesday morning. He was a lawyer. Mr. Crymes, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T P Crymes, was born and reared here. Survivors are his wife, the former Margaret Moseley of Hattiesburg; a sister Mrs. I A McAllister of Minneapolis; and four brothers, Thomas P and Augustine Crymes of Memphis; George of Jackson, and Dent of New Jersey." |
