| From Find-a-Grave: "John Bunyan "J.B." Burden, 89, of 4009 Calvert Street, husband of Ruby Crymes Burden, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at his residence. Born August 26, 1923 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Waymon and Lois Elgin Burden. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Burden was a Master Jeweler with Cochran Jewelry Store for 32 years and later with Hanks Jewelry. He was inducted into the Anderson Bowling Association Hall of Fame and was a member of Wellington Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Ruby C. Burden of the home; one son, J▮▮▮▮▮ Burden and wife, D▮▮▮▮ of Anderson; six grandchildren, Angie Gilstrap and husband, Keith, Mark Burden, Shannon Todd and husband, Tracy, Michelle Sargent and husband, Steve, Matthew Burden, Jeff Waters and wife, DeeDee; seven great grandchildren, Ashley Mitchell, Sommer Burden, Kaylee Gilstrap, Seth Burden, Spencer Burden, Zachary Todd, and Allie Todd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Holliday." |
