From Find-a-Grave: "L. Bruce Farrow, 85, husband of Sara Crymes Farrow for 58 years, died Thursday, June 11, 2009. Mr. Farrow was born July 20, 1923, in Greenville County to the late Broadus Farrow and Maggie Young Farrow. He was a co-owner of Quality Builders Supply & Hardware and was an alumnus of Cecils Business College. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fountain Inn, where he taught the B.C. Givens Sunday School Class for over 40 years. He also formerly served as a Deacon. He was a member of Gideon's International, and was a 50-year member of the Fountain Inn American Legion Post. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid softball player who played into his sixties. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons and their wives, D▮▮ and K▮▮▮▮ Farrow, and R▮▮ and B▮▮▮▮▮▮ Farrow; a sister, M▮▮▮ L▮▮▮▮▮ Wilson and husband H▮▮▮▮; five grandchildren, Lori Farrow, Katie Farrow, Brent Farrow, Russell Dobbins and wife Heather, and Daniel Dobbins and wife Jordan; and two great-grandchildren, Cole and Myles Dobbins. He was predeceased by a stepmother, Mollie Kellett Farrow; a sister, Leona Napier; and ten brothers, Loys, Loyd, LeRoy, Fred, Bob, Levy, Joe, Jack, Bill and Harry Farrow. Mr. Farrow's mother had the honor of receiving a letter from the U.S. president during World War II informing her that she had the most sons (eleven) serving concurrently in the military during our wartime efforts. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Fountain Inn, officiated by Rev. Michael Bearden. Entombment, with Military Honors, will be in the Mausoleum of Cannon Memorial Park."
