Kate's name was changed to CHRIMES after her mother Sarah married John CHRIMES. Kate was still called "Lally" at the time of the 1911 England Census, so her name must have been changed after that date. In the 1921 England Census Kate was named Chrimes, and declared to be 'daughter' (actually 'step-daughter'). In 1921 Kate was employed by Hortons of Station St., Darlaston. The 1930 marriage, to George TURNER, leads to a 1939 Register record for Kate Turner b.14May1902 which is consistent with the Births Index record for Kate LALLEY. I cannot find a specific death record for Kate. |
