Philip Crimes has written that: "... there is another marr. Lic. dated 29 Jan 1699/1700 between John EATON p Gt. Budworth, husbandman & Aideth (Edith?) WILLIAMSON, Waverham, sp. The bondsman was Joseph CHRIMES, p Waverham. Marriage to take place at Gt. Budworth. My guess is that this Joseph is Joseph CHRIMES from Acton and that Mary and Aideth WILLIAMSON were sisters. There are further references to female WILLIAMSONS in the Weaverham burial registers in the 1720s." A Weaverham burial record: "1703 May 23 Maria Chrymes, Mobberley" may apply, supporting the case developed by Philip Crimes that Robert CRIMES, head of the Ollerton branch, was a child of Mary. |
