Katherine and Isabel were twins. In 1921 Isabel was attending school 'Whole Time'. From The Runcorn Weekly News of 11 January 1929: "MUSICAL SUCCESS In connection with the Associated Board of the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music local centre intermediate (theory of music) examination, held in Liverpool, Miss Isobel Chrimes, The Arch Hotel, West Bank, Widnes, proved successful, gaining 96 marks out of a maximum 99. She is a pupil of Miss Edith R. Jones, 5, Waterloo Road, Runcorn." From The Runcorn Weekly News of 13 June 1947: "MUSIC SUCCESSES Trinity College of Music, London Pianoforte Playing, Grade II: Ian McCaig, ....Pupils of Isobel Chrimes, 92 Mersey Road, Widnes." Isabel's Administration record reads: "CHRIMES Isobel [sic] of 114 Oakland Street Widnes Lancashire spinster died 1 September 1959 at The County Hospital Whiston Lancashire Administration Liverpool 8 October to Isabella Chrimes widow. Effects £1100." |
