In the 1921 England Census, taken 2 days after Edward Percy was born, he and his mother were recorded as 'Visitors' to a Private Nursing Home at Lewisham, London. Alice Lydia died at the age of 28. An Electoral Register record for "Lydia Alice Hopper" living with Thomas Edward CHRIMES, his second wife Olive Lucy Chrimes née HOPPER and Percy Clarence HOPPER in 1930 at Camberwell cannot relate to this Alice Lydia as she died in 1924 but is nevertheless difficult to explain. |
