From The Dover Express of 24 June 1921: "BIRTHS - CHRIMES - on June 17th. at 49, Catford Hill, S.E., to Alice Lydia, the wife of Thomas E Chrimes - a son." Catford Hill is near to Lewisham in S.E. London. From The Surrey Mirror of 5 November 1948: "MR. TED CHRIMES is presenting the first of his gramophone programmes on November 9th, at 8.15 p.m., at 12a, Station-road, Redhill. This form of entertainment is new to the Redhill Young Conservatives, who are sure to give Mr. Chrimes good support with his new venture. Refreshments will be provided." From The Surrey Mirror and County Post of 21 April 1950: "Reigate and Redhill branches of the Young Conservatives held a joint dance at Laker's Hotel, Redhill on Saturday night. Mr. Ted Chrimes was M.C. ......" Edward Percy's marriage record is chosen despite his age (42) at marriage, based on location and elimination. |
