From The Cheshire Observer of 26 August 1933: "NORLEY - WEDDING - The wedding was solemnised last week of the Rev. Frank Taylor, of Menagissey [sic], Cornwall (formerly of Winsford), and Miss Doris Hilda Chrimes, of Norley. The ceremony was performed in the Bethel Methodist Church, Norley, by the Rev. John Naylor, of Newcastle-on-Tyne, friend of the bride and bridegroom. The bride was given away by her father. She was attended by her sister, Miss Ruby Chrimes. The best man was Mr. J.H. Atherton, of Winsford. Among presents received was an oak clock with double chimes, from the River-street Church, Menagissey, where the bridgegroom has laboured for the past two years; and a silver teapot from the Bethel Church, Norley, where the bride has been an active worker for some years. The happy pair are spending their honeymoon in Northern Ireland, and on their return will begin their ministry at Shrewsbury, where the bridegroom will be in charge of the Town Wall Methodist Church." The 1939 Register and the Deaths Index record give the same exact date of birth. |
