In the 1921 England Census, Florence Seymour's age was given as 32 years 7 months, implying birth in November 1888. This is not consistent with the Births Index record. The Deaths Index record gives age at death as 79 years, implying and birth year of 1889/90. To be resolved. From The Cheshire Observer of 24 January 1969: "OBITUARY - MRS. C. CRIMES The death occurred on 15th. January, of Mrs. Florence Seymour Crimes, aged 79, of The Sunset, Lache Lane, Chester. Mrs. Crimes was born in Stockton-on-Tees, and moved to Chester, in 1918. She was the widow of Mr. Claud Crimes, a former Sheriff of the City, who died in 1957. She was a partner in the business of Claud Crimes and Son, Bridge Street, Chester. For many years she was secretary for the Chester Hospital Samaritan Fund, which was founded by her husband. Mrs. Crimes was also on the committee for the Chester Doctor Barnardo's Home. Mrs. Crimes is survived by her son, Mr. Reg Crimes. The funeral took place last Friday, when a service at Christ Church, Newton, was conducted by Rev. G.A. Macquiban. The mourners were: Mr. Reg Crimes (son), Mrs. Joan Crimes (daughter-in-law), Mr. Alan Crimes, Mr. Martin Crimes, Mr. Tony Crimes (grandsons), ..." From The Cheshire Observer of 26 September 1969: "LOCAL WILLS Mrs. Florence Seymour Crimes, of Sunset, Lache Lane, Marlston-cum-Lache, a partner in Claude Crimes and Son, baby-wear, Chester, who died on 15th January, intestate, aged 79, left £7,185 15s gross, £7,117 5s. net.
