Robert Louis returned, as a US Serviceman, to New York in 1945 on the SS Queen Elizabeth. Robert Louis was a seaman at the time of his 1945 wedding (17 days later), and was later a minister of the church. From Wisconsin State Journal of Tuesday November 5 1985: "Rev. Robert L Chrimes, age 60, of 419 South Parker Drive, Janesville, died on Saturday, November 2, 1985, at Mercy Hospital. He was born on May 21, 1925, in Sewell, Chile, South America, the son of Robert C and Florence Proctor Chrimes. He married Elizabeth J Florin on August 28, 1945, at Avalon, Wisconsin. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran; was employed by the Bank of Wisconsin from 1946 to 1978. He was ordained a deacon of the Episcopal Church on August 6, 1982, following his graduation from the Institute of Christian Studies of Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary. He was active in the Milwaukee Anglican Episcopal Cursillo Movement and served on the Milwaukee Diocean Mission Board. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Janesville, where he served as deacon. He was a member of the Janesville Elks Lodge and past president of the Janesville Little Theatre. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Constance L Lisowe, of Jacksonville, Florida, K▮▮ E Brewick of Evergreen, Colorado; a son, Steven R Chrimes of Boulder, Colorado; three grandchildren; and a brother, Eugene Chrimes of La Crescent, Minnesota. Services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 6, 1985, at TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 411 E Court St., Janesville, with The Rt. Rev. Roger J White, bishop of Milwaukee, officiating. Inurnment will be in the Columbarium of the Good Shepherd at Trinity Episcopal Church." Social Security number 399-16-6390 (indicating Wisconsin).
