Mary Jane's birth was registered in Q1 of 1879. This conflicts with the 1921 England Census, where Mary Jane's age was expressed as '43', 'Apr 4', suggesting a birth date of 4 April 1878.
From information contributed by Philip Crimes, Mary Jane's second marriage to Herbert TOMLINSON was bigamous, her first husband William CRIMES not having died until 1936.
In the 1921 England Census, Herbert and Mary Jane were living in Northwich with their 10 children.
Herbert TOMLINSON was declared as widower on the 1939 Register, so Mary Jane died between 1921 (appears in census) and 1939. The 1934 Deaths Index record is chosen accordingly, and gives correct age at death.
