Albert Reginald was referred to as just "Reginald" in a school attendance record and in a newspaper report of his brother Ernest's wedding. From The Cheshire Observer of 8 February 1936: "UNCONSCIOUS FOR THREE DAYS- ...Albert Reginald Chrimes [sic], aged 19, of 73, Phillip-street, Hoole, the cyclist who was injured... He did not remember being struck, but was unconscious in Chester Royal Infirmary for three days, with head injuries..." From The Cheshire Observer of 3 February 1940: "RIDING WITH HANDS IN POCKETS Albert Reginald Crimes, 73 [sic], Phillip-street, Hoole, was summoned for riding a pedal cycle and not having proper control of it on January 17th. It was stated that defendant was riding with his hands in his trousers' pockets. Fined 7s. 6d." Actual age of Albert Reginald at the time was 23. CheshireBMD gives the location of the 1948 marriage as "West Cheshire, Civil Marriage or Registrar Attended". From The Cheshire Observer of 8 October 1965: "BIRTHDAY REMEMBRANCES - CRIMES Loving birthday memories (14th October) of Dad; also Reg. (10th October). A little tribute, small and tender. Just to show we still remember. - Mum and the Family, Phillip-street." |
