In 1921 Eric Boult was attending school 'Whole Time'. From The Rochdale Observer of 17 February 1940: "CHRIMES - On February 14th, to Mr. and Mrs. Eric Chrimes (née Margaret Wills) at 50 Spotland Road, a son (stillborn)." From his grandson A J CHRIMES: "Eric Boult was a master butcher and started our family business in the 60's." The 1977 marriage is taken to be the re-marriage of Eric, despite the age of bride and groom. Eric's Grant of Probate reads: "CHRIMES, Eric of 30 Alice Ingham Ct Rochdale Lancs died 8 July 1980 Probate Manchester 5 August £19972" |
