Martha Ann was known as Annie. School records (FindMyPast) show that "Annie" was at Easton School at Easton near Grantham, Lincolnshire between 1906 and 1909 where she was in receipt of charitable gifts awarded to selected children. The School Log has an entry for 23 April 1909 which reads: "Annie Chrimes having attained the age of 14 yrs. has now left school". Martha Ann's 1915 marriage in Derbyshire is consistent with her 1911 residence. Martha Ann and Samuel Orlando emigrated to Australia and died there. On her sister Mary's gravestone, Martha Ann is named as Annie. |
