Ann was also known as Mary Ann and as Mary. The 1847 burial record is assigned to this Ann because the LOPC record gives the same grave number as that of her daughter Emma. From The Manchester Courier and Lancashire General Advertiser of 4 August 1847: "Deaths - on the 31st. ult. - Mrs. Ann Crimes, of Vale-street, Hulme, aged 57 years.". The newspaper notice of death gives age as 57, whereas the burial record gives age as 47. To be resolved. |
