From The Manchester Guardian of 7 July 1821: "MARRIED On Thursday, Mr. John Crimes, farmer, to Miss Mary-Ann Cragg, both of this parish."
As recorded in The London Gazette, John appeared at a 'Court for Relief of Insolvent Debtors' at Lancaster on 1 April 1830 under the text: "John Crimes, late of Rosamond-street, Chorlton-Row, near Manchester, Lancashire, Labourer, Milk-Seller and Dealer in Cakes and Apples."
John had died before the second marriage of his son Thomas Henry in 1887.
The Deaths Index record for Chorlton 1862 Q3 is presumed to apply to this John, despite age at death being given as 62.
