In the 1921 England Census Thomas Edward, age 43, single, was head of a household comprised of himself and 4 servants, including a 'Housekeeper', female, aged 21, single. His father had died in 1910 and his mother died in 1919. Perhaps the household was as it had been whilst Thomas Edward's mother was alive. Thomas Edward married about 6 months later (not to the housekeeper).
