John Thomas appears to have been deputy church warden of St. Saviour, Talke in 1912.
From The Staffordshire Sentinel of 10 March 1941: "DEATHS CRIMES - On March 7th, at Holly Villas, Lawton, John Thomas Crimes, the beloved husband of the late Alice Elizabeth Crimes, aged 87 years. Interment at Talke Church on Tuesday next at 11 a.m."
John Thomas's Grant of Probate reads: "CRIMES John Thomas of Holly Villas Lawton Cheshire died 7 March 1941. Probate Llandudno 3 June to Barclays Bank Limited. Effects: £3410 6s."
A notice appeared in The London Gazette of 17 June 1941 seeking claimants to John Thomas's estate.
