This Thomas is connected to the CHRIMESs of Rotherham, Yorkshire, and thereby to the CHRIMESs of Warrington, as his daughter Sarah Ann's executor was Richard CHRIMES of Rotherham. Richard was Thomas's nephew. On his daughter Helen's birth record, Thomas's occupation was given as "Attorney". Thomas did not have any CHRIMES grandchildren because his son Thomas did not marry and his son John Peter died aged just 2 years. The London Metropolitan Archives holds a record (TNA Reference: MS 11936/462/887262) showing that 'Thomas Chrimes, 10 Dean Street Fetter Lane, gent.' was insured with the Sun Fire Office on 20 October 1813. Thomas appears in the 1825 Pigot's Directory of London under Attorneys as "Chrimes Thos. 10 Dean st - Fetter la" |
