On the 1871 census, Mary is a Widow, Landowner and Farmer of 2 acres in Cow Lane, Norley, living with her 11 year old niece Alice. On the 1881 census, Mary is a Widow aged 77, no occupation, living in Cow Lane, Norley, living with her 24 year old niece Mary Chrimes. The will of Mary Lydeat was proved on 3 Nov 1887 by [her daughter] Elizabeth Nutting wife of John Henry NUTTING of Canal Street, Wolverhampton. Elizabeth was sole executrix.
