From a Hattiesburg newspaper of 7 October 1942: "He was graduated from the Hattiesburg high school and received his degree in engineering from Mississippi State college, Starkville. Shortly after his graduation he went to Central America where he was employed as a Civil Engineer for the United Fruit company for two years. He then returned to states and went to work in Chicago for the Illinois Central railroad where he has been employed for over 20 years. Colonel Crymes is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T P Crymes, Florence street, Hattiesburg." |
