Sadly Tommie Lee died at the age of 5 years.
From Tommie Lee's Find-a-Grave record: "Tommie Lee Crymes was the third child, and the third son, of Oscar and Mattie Clemmons Crymes. Together, Oscar and Mattie had ten children. Tommie was the only child that didn't reach adulthood. Mattie told her granddaughter that Tommie had suffered from a fever. His parents had thought that he had endured the worst of his illness. He had been allowed to play outside and had fallen on a wood pile. Tommie struck his head and never recovered from the injury. Mattie's daughter, Elizabeth, said that her mother had a extremely difficult time getting beyond her loss. Tommie is buried near the gravesite of his grandfather, John Crymes, in the Pine (Piney) Grove Cemetery in Lauderdale Co., AL. The words on his tombstone read: "Twas hard to give thee up but Thy will O' God be done." [In remembrance by Tommie Lee's nieces.]"
