William's marriage record is in the same quarter as the birth of his first child, but is nevertheless credible.
I cannot find William on the 1871 UK Census.
Between 1881 and 1891 William changed his name and that of his family from CRIMES to CHRIMES.
At the 1911 England Census William was not living with his wife and children. He was living with his brother Thomas and his family in Altrincham. William was declared to be 'Lodger', 'Married'.
In 1921 William was employed by Robert Caryle at Old Trafford.
William's Grant of Probate Record reads: "CHRIMES William of 46 Russell Street Moss Side Manchester died 9 February 1933 Probate Manchester 9 March to Frank West insurance surveyor. Effects £566 15s 2d"
