From The Runcorn Guardian of 7 August 1914: "SANDIWAY SHOW - SECTION VI - OPEN TO COTTAGERS AND FARMERS - Mangel wurzels - 2. Vincent Chrimes, Norley"
In 1921 Vincent was employed by Fred Whitehead, Builder, of Northwich.
It is remarkable that, even as late as 1921, individual houses were not named or numbered in Norley.
Vincent's Grant of Probate record reads: "CHRIMES Vincent of West View Road Norley Cheshire died 26 May 1946 Probate Chester 7 January to Albert Chrimes grocer and baker. Effects £608 1s.5d."
Albert was only a distant relative of Vincent. Why was Probate not granted to a nearer relative?
